This is probably the best write up of any race I've ever seen by an elite athlete. You are hilariously humble and you made me feel like every cyclist goes through the same stuff during a race, just at different speeds! Thanks for being transparent and sharing this. I really hope you come back next year, better yet, hang out with the age group mortals and share more of THIS

Couldn’t believe when I first saw that you were going to race 200-mile gravel race right after 3 weeks of murderous Giro. Especially after being in the break-away on the queen stage toughest climb. But I realized that it wasn’t even a surprise. You finished at 19th after being stuck in the mud. That’s just astonishing. You are an incredible rider, a huge inspiration to all of us. Now, I look forward to seeing you kick back with Connor on GCN Slow Tour after the season.

Great article, I really enjoyed reading it. I was there, it was my third finish of the 200 ... due to a lot of personal issues I won't bore people with this year was the most special for me regardless of the epic range of environmental factors we all faced this year - the mud and the sideways rain just made it all the more special for me. Your ability to be humble and humorous simultaneously really appealed to me. Hope to see you on the course again ...

Larry: I've watched you race with AG2R, watched you travel with Conor on GCN. Enjoy your easy going sense of humor and strength of purpose. YOU got it done, in Kansas, come hell or high MUD (in this case). Thank you for sharing your nightmare and with the acknowledgement of those who commiserated with you, blew past you, understood you, laughed, cried, sweated, endured with you. Chapeau, LM. NOW, rest and be ready when you are called for TdF. You're a delight, a tough cookie and determined rider. ♥️. (take the paint stirrer next time 😉) 🇺🇸

You are a legend! Top 20 and still finished within an hour of the leaders. I predict this will infect your mind in the coming months and you’ll want to come back next year, unless you’re busy in July. Then Kansas will see you in ‘25. Here’s to you at the Unbound in ‘25!

Brilliant right up Larry. Felt the pain, the frustration, the inadequacy and the joy through the article. Thanks for writing and I look forward to reading more, as well as continuing to hear you on TCP and watch you on GCN.

My newest hero!! Unbound does not play favorites. She will humble anyone and everyone. Thank you so much for sharing your story! Mad respect for not letting it beat you, and just getting it done. I'm sure you could sell your gently used aero sports bar to Dylan Johnson. Dude loves anything aero.
